A Gentle Monday Ritual for Clarity & Intention
Start Your Week with Reflection, Not Just a To-Do List
Good morning, friends—
Mondays can feel like a fresh canvas or a messy desk, depending on how we enter them.
Personally, I’m rolling into Monday feeling a bit disheveled. My back is sore and tight (hello, 44-year-old body), our house is full with our four kids plus four extra teenagers because our son wanted to host friends for a sleepover, and this week is our kids’ spring break, so all typical weekly rhythms are tossed out the window. Like I said, the word of the day is “disheveled.”
Over the years, I’ve found that a simple Monday ritual grounds me in clarity and intention, helping me move through the week with more ease.
Each Monday, I take some time to pause and reflect—looking back at the past week, taking note of what felt life-giving and what drained me. I acknowledge the small wins, the unfinished to-dos, and the moments of grace that surprised me. Then, I turn my attention forward, asking:
What do I need most in the week ahead?
What is one intention I can carry with me?
How do I want to show up for myself and others?
Are there any adjustments I want to make to be able to live in a way that feels more aligned?
This practice isn’t about planning or goal-setting; it’s about presence. It’s a way of gently taking stock and aligning my week with what truly matters. Pausing in this way allows me to settle myself and then move into the day with clarity.
And so, I’m curious—do you have a way of easing into your week with intention? If not, I invite you to try this practice and make it your own. If you want to share, Iʻd love to hear about it - either in the comments or by replying to this email.
Wishing you a grounded and grace-filled start to your week.
With care,
Larissa
